For our November 9, 2023, luncheon we’ll feature two speakers — Tambra Chamberlain, Executive Director of Tambra Place, and Caitlin Terry, Executive Director of Friend 2 Friend. Both are local groups serving Moore County and to which Whispers has donated.
Friend to Friend’s mission is to help survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking rebuild their lives. Equitable access to advocacy services and safe shelter is key to their mission of serving all survivors in Moore County and beyond.
The mission of Tambra’s Place is to provide a safe, nurturing, social learning environment for homeless and at-risk young women in Moore County, ages 18-24. Their overarching service strategy is to provide educational support and therapeutic services in a home setting.
Reservations are required. Please mail or drop off your payment to Peg Carfi, 1 Foxglove Ln, Whispering Pines, no later than November 2nd.
